When a private art center sponsors and helps promote an HOMAGE to Peter Max, it makes me feel honored to be his collector, and it inspires me to continue believing that PETER's art is still alive and well and posed for posterity.
The kids and their parents/teachers made a real effort to obtain this colorful ensemble, perhaps only one insignificant mistake among the ad-lib costumes, and that most people commit,  is linking the Yellow Submarine to Peter instead than to Heinz Edelmann, the actual creator.
Future American artists... thumbs up!

Beck Center's Visual Arts Department staff outdid themselves with this year's entry in Parade the Circle on June 11. Over the course of five months, their vision became reality with To The Max!, a tribute to '60s artist and peace and love guru, Peter Max, with a colorful, cohesive and psychedelic entry. A special thanks to Susan Gallagher, associate director of visual arts, and her PTC crew for all of their hard work! View the link below to see their marvelous display of creativity.
