YES ROCK BAND 1994 "TALK" TOUR

The original CD TALK, by the famous group YES. Talk is the fourteenth studio album by progressive rock band Yes and was released in 1994. Their first release with an independent label after having been distributed the length of their career thus far with Atlantic Records and Arista Records, Talk is also notable for being the last Yes recording with Trevor Rabin and Tony Kaye.
Released in March 1994, Talk had its warm reviews, but also its detractors. It was the first of the remaining new projects by Yes to fail to reach gold status.

So, it was a flop musically, but the artwork brilliant.

This is a framed collage of a variety of memorabilia from the TALK tour, including a 24 X 30 Poster, VIP pass, a promotional card and a copy of the CD in the black version.

YES TOUR 1994  T-shirt       and   working crew Pass

In 1994 YES released the new album under the title of Talk. Entirely digitally recorded, it blended elements of Yes-West radio-friendly rock with a more structurally ambitious approach taken from Yes' 1970s blueprint. Although the album was a flop, the artwork of the album and the eour memorabilia was done by PM, hence, it pertains to this collection. (Historic Info from Wikipedia.com)

BADFINGER, Artwork by PETER MAX,  The POET

Say No More is the last studio album recorded by Badfinger that contained new material. Issued in January 1981 on Radio Records, the LP was the second and last attempt by Tom Evans and Joey Molland to recapture Badfinger's earlier market success, which was lost after the death of band founder Pete Ham in 1975. The album was recorded in Miami, FL by Evans, Molland, keyboardist Tony Kaye (formerly of Yes), guitarist Glen Sherba and drummer Richard Bryans and was co-produced by Jack Richardson

ARETHA FRANKLIN 1989 Vinyl, back and front covers by PM
Photo: Norman Parkinson, featuring the hit "think"

YELLOW JACKETS unique 2005 CD, I am sure this is
the kind of jazz Peter listens to when he works.

ALICE COLTRANE unique Vinyl dated 1972. ALICE was
also a pupil of the Swami, and I suppose of PETER by
correlation. The black and white interior artwork
is very special.

A master's edition CD with the excel xylophone player
Gary Burton, and Pat Metheny, a guitar virtuoso.
Modern jazz of 2009, and the music the PM most probably
listens while working at his N.Y. studio.

Healthy food for though 2010, a Charity donation.
Cover artwork by PM, as usual...

Very uncommon PM artwork for the MEADE LUX LEWIS
1963 jazz vinyl. After leaving the Art Student’s League, Max began
looking for a gallery to exhibit his work. By chance, an Art Director
for a record company, saw Max’s paintings at a photo copy service,
where he had left them to make prints. He immediately contacted
Max and commissioned him to do a painting for a record album
cover for Meade Lux Lewis, the blues piano player. The album cover
won the annual Society of Illustrators award and many other
commissions and awards followed.

ASSORTED MEMORABILIA 2

Extremely rare PM Ice bucket. It has a man and a woman face, and the sunglasses move from one face to the other. Very funny and a conversation item. Year 1970.
From ETSY:"Rare mod plastic and metal ice bucket designed by Peter Max in 1970. Has two faces, one mustached male, one lippy female (reminds me of the Rolling Stones logo minus the tongue) the handle is a pair of purple plastic sunglasses that flips to either side and makes up the eyes on the faces. The "hair" on either side reads "Love You" in classic psychedelic Peter Max style font. Body is metal with plastic lid, handle, and lining. In good vintage condition, has some rust along the seams and some scratches. Interior is clean and unscratched".

                 The Neckties

GEOMETRIC MAN
This is a needlepoint work signed by PM in1973.
I am not sure who did it, but my best bet would be
that a very nice fan of him in those years did it
and he eventually signed it in a public presentation or in a gallery.
This is really a very rare piece, and I am sure perhaps not even
Peter himself has seen it before.

Two silkscreen printed T-shirts, pity they are both XL and I am a Medium,
not really! I would not wear them, but I got them just for the collection
I believe they started making them in 1994,
The one on the right is from the ZERO MEGALOPOLIS of 1989
And the LIBERTY HEAD is taken from an original canvas of 1992,
it has also written Baron Funds NYC, perhaps in Peter's handwriting.
Baron funds is a financial company.

Black T shirt with the American Flags theme, I guess, from 1991

Neo Max clothing  line 1988 long sleeves T shirt,
Infinity Watchers.  I placed it in a frame with Acid Free
